What belongs in Address Line 1 and Address Line 2?
International forms can feel unfamiliar because their order differs from Korean addresses. Put the street and building number in Line 1, then use Line 2 for the building name, floor or unit.
Address Line 1: the base address
Line 1 normally contains the building number and street name. For “서울특별시 중구 세종대로 110,” enter “110 Sejong-daero.”
If you only know the lot-number address, first select the matching official road-name address. A general translator may render proper street names differently from the published form.
Address Line 2: delivery details
Use Line 2 for an apartment or office building name, building number, floor and unit. For example, “101동 202호” can be written as “Bldg 101, Unit 202.”
Even when Line 2 is optional, keep it for apartments and large buildings. Leave it blank only when the base address identifies the delivery point completely.
Splitting City, State and Postal Code
City usually takes the relevant city, county or district, while State/Province/Region takes the province or metropolitan city. A Seoul address can use “Jung-gu” for City and “Seoul” for State.
Enter the five-digit Korean postal code without a hyphen. Choose “South Korea” or “Korea, Republic of,” depending on the site’s country list.
